Class Descriptions
-
Introductory Classes are a one-time, hour-and-a-half course in which
students can try pole dancing for fitness to see if this is an activity
which they would like to try. These classes will be offered at least
twice a month.
-
Level 1 Classes are the beginning class which teaches students the
foundations of pole dance for fitness. The focus of this class will be
gaining upper arm and hand strength as well as learning basic spins,
poses, floor work as well as the basic invert while spotted. This four
week class will be taught as a sequence.
-
Level 2 Classes will provide a continuation of the level one classes
and help students build up their inverts as well as combination spins
and climbs. The focus of this class is endurance and core strength. In
this class students will be encouraged to choreograph their own routines
so as to reflect their own personality. Students must complete level one
OR have instructor permission before joining this class.
-
Level 3 Classes will help students along with more complicated
inverts and will involve more balance, coordination and strength
training. Students must complete level two OR have instructor permission
before joining this class.
-
Level 4 Classes will include the moves that require the most amount
of stamina and strength to perform. Students must complete level three
OR have instructor permission before joining this class.
-
Pole Fit
classes will be available
to any student who has gone through the Introductory class and would like
further time to work on the moves and increase their strength and endurance.
This class focuses less on spins and more on gaining upper body and core
strength. Class size is strictly limited to 6 students and pre-registration is
required.
-
Pole Parties are designed for women who are looking for
something fun and interesting to do for a Girl's Night Out or a Bachelorette party. These
two-hour parties will teach the
basics of pole dance for fitness and offer one routine for the students
to learn. These classes will be offered on Friday and Saturday evenings
on a first-come, first-served basis.
